I have been working in computing for a while now, and small things always crop up that need a quick solution. If you’re in computing you probably know what I mean. All those little solutions I’ve been whacking together over years were crying out for some public exposure, and hopefully through this blog they’ll help others as they’ve helped me.

Email me to request my CV

Born in Northampton in England, where I lived until I was 12 years old, I spent my formative years living in Dunedin, in the South Island of New Zealand.

I started Tumbleseed as a place to be able to share the solutions I develop for problems at work and home.

One of the reasons I get into so many things is because I can adapt to and learn new things very quickly. This mostly manifests itself in computer and technology related areas, but in general too. I can learn how to use a new application in minutes and be an advanced user in hours. I like the challenge of figuring out new things, which makes me one of those people who never reads the manual (unless I need to get it working quickly!) when setting up something new … I’d rather just jump in and figure it out. I will quite often read the manual afterwards though to see if there are any tricks that weren’t apparent earlier. This approach usually means I know the product quite well in a short space of time.
